What services do you offer?
We handle all aspects of professional tree care, including pruning & trimming, tree removals, stump grinding, tree health assessments, and emergency storm damage cleanup. If it involves trees, chances are we do it—reach out and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Are you insured and qualified to do this work?
Yes — we are fully insured (liability and workers’ compensation), and our team follows modern arboriculture safety standards. Derrick has over 10 years of professional experience, and we approach every job with care, training, and the right equipment.
What areas do you serve?
We serve most of the central Shenandoah Valley region in Virginia, primarily:
- Rockingham County
- Page County
- Augusta County
- Roughly within a one-hour radius of Elkton (north, south, and west), and about 30 minutes east
This includes towns like Harrisonburg, Elkton, Staunton, Waynesboro, Luray, and surrounding communities.
Note: We do not currently serve the Charlottesville/Cville area. If you’re not sure, just ask.
Do you offer emergency tree removal?
Absolutely. We provide 24-hour emergency response Monday through Saturday for storm damage and urgent hazards. If a tree or large limb falls on a home, blocks a driveway, or creates immediate risk, call us right away.
In life-threatening emergencies (such as downed power lines), call 911 first.
When is the best time to prune trees?
We can prune year-round when needed, but the dormant season (late fall through winter) is often best for many species. It reduces stress, improves visibility of branch structure, and supports healthy regrowth. Dead or hazardous limbs should be removed promptly in any season.
How much does tree removal or pruning cost?
Pricing varies based on tree size, complexity, hazards, and access. We’ll evaluate your situation and provide a clear, written quote. We aim for fair, competitive pricing and we never start work until you’re comfortable with the plan.
Will you remove all the debris and clean up after the job?
Yes. Cleanup is part of every job. We haul away limbs, logs, and grindings unless you prefer otherwise. If you’d like, we can cut larger sections into firewood-size logs and leave them for you.
Is it okay to remove a tree myself?
We strongly caution against DIY tree removal or heavy pruning. Tree work is dangerous without training and proper equipment, and even “simple” cuts can behave unpredictably. For safety and peace of mind, it’s best to hire insured professionals.
What is a tree health consultation?
Think of it as a professional “tree check-up.” We inspect the tree’s health and structure, look for disease, pests, root issues, or weaknesses, and then explain what we’re seeing in plain language. From there, we recommend next steps—treatment, targeted pruning, or (only when necessary) removal.
We love educating homeowners, and you’re welcome to ask questions. There’s no pressure—just honest guidance so you can make the best decision for your property.
