Crane-Assisted Removal of Hazardous Eastern Cottonwoods

Project Overview
When several large Eastern Cottonwoods began leaning toward a nearby building, the risk became too great to ignore. These trees were in decline, structurally compromised, and positioned in a way that made traditional felling unsafe. Protecting the structure—and the people inside it—required a thoughtful, controlled solution.
At Blue Mountain Arbor, we prioritize safety, stewardship, and clear planning. After a thorough assessment, our ISA-certified team determined that crane-assisted removal was the safest and most responsible approach.
Our Approach
We carefully dismantled each tree in controlled sections, beginning with the canopy and working downward. Every cut was measured, and each section was securely rigged and lifted away from the structure by crane. This method allowed us to eliminate the hazard without risking damage to the building or surrounding landscape.
Protective ground measures were used throughout the process, and the site was left clean and secure once work was complete.
